Fencing

Our fencers between them have erected tens of thousands of metres to different requirements and specifications.

In the forestry context fencing is usually against rabbits, deer, stock, or all three, and variations on strained wire fencing are usually applicable. In paddocks, parks and new developments the requirement is often for wooden post and rail or close board fencing.

In recent years we have put up some 35,000 metres of reptile fencing. Much of this has been of polythene or woven polypropylene membrane, but we have also successfully developed more permanent specifications, using high density polyethylene and galvanised sheet steel. We have also been asked to construct fences to protect water-voles, badgers, and snakes. These wildlife fences are usually constructed on sites with particular environmental sensitivities, for which our informed and experienced operators are well suited.

Access Works

We have extensive experience of path and track construction to various specifications, including hard-wearing forestry tracks to allow access into the woodland and the extraction of timber from the woodland, and smaller, pedestrian all-weather paths for public access. We can also install gates and barriers from a simple agricultural field gate, through pedestrian kissing gates, to specialised horse-friendly vehicle barriers.
